My Bio

“A multi-award winning self-shooting director, producer and editor with 12+ years experience filming in 20+ countries across six continents. An exceptionally adaptable filmmaker, accomplished in a wide range of genres including current affairs, covert investigations, documentaries, wildlife, talent-led programs, ob docs, music videos, corporate and live events.”

My Background
I started out, back in 2002, in conservation filmmaking after a two year trip overseas. During that time I witnessed things I will never forget; things that inspired me to go back to these places and do what I could to help or highlight what was happening to people and the planet.

Back then conservation was still not taken seriously. That was until I met Richard Brock (from BBC's Living Planet). I began working with The Brock Initiative, specialising in making and producing a diverse range of wildlife/ environmental films whilst I was working and living amongst the local communities and tribes. These received national coverage in the countries they were made in.

Combining my love of music, culture, animals and nature I initiated a successful project creating conservation involving my other main passion, music videos which allowed important issues to be highlighted through the medium of dance and music. This rolled out in Gabon, the Galapagos and Indonesia.

I then became a part of the Ecologist Film Unit, from its launch in 2006 to present day. I specialised in undercover investigation documentaries, shown on BBC news, HBO, Link tv,  and Green TV, to name a few. My films also featured in the mainstream press such as The  Guardian and The Independent.

In line with my passion for music and arts I continue to  work in music video production for up and coming and established artists,.live events, such as Glastonbury, the Pilton Party, london fashion show and awards ceremonies 2006 - present day

To continue my learning and skillset, I became head of production for an online corporate video company, making films for publishers, exhibition organisers and directories. This included live streaming events for Google and Sony an extensive use of green screen and virtual studios. In this role I managed over 300 filmmakers while still shooting a few of the films myself.

Over the years I've given various talks and workshops in filmmaking and internationally held workshops/training in undercover investigative filmamaking using covert

cameras.

I have worked Leicester University and the Darwin Foundation teaching filmmaking in Kenya and Tanzania, helping to pioneer the community-based Biodiversity Conservation Filmmaking (CBCF) charity – now a thriving NGO.
